On July 30 an annual music festival Afisha Picnic took place in the Kolomenskoye historical and nature reserve museum. At the event, for the first time, a new mobile payment service, implemented by MTS for its users with the participation of SmartCardLink (Intervale Group of Companies) and Center of Corporate Technologies, was introduced. MTS-Bank is the project’s clearing bank.
The festival’s visitors – users of MTS – could pay at numerous points of sale located on the territory of the festival via their mobile phone account, just telling the number to a cashier and SMS confirmation, via bank cards using mPOS terminals or smartphones using contactless payment technology.
The winners of the tender for purchase of mobile commerce services previously carried out by MTS - SmartCardLink (Intervale Group of Companies) and Center of Corporate Technologies LLC - took part in the project.
The payment solution is realized as a branded MTS application for mobile devices complete with mPOS-terminal. In addition, it is possible to use the web-version of the client's personal account.
The payment service for trade and service enterprises helps to realize payments for goods and services, allows to structure transactions, maintain sales records and launch loyalty programs. The project is planned to be launched into production by the end of the year.
