On September 24, Visa announced the certification in Russia of its new solution for accepting contactless payments, Visa Tap to Phone. This application was developed on the basis of the M4Bank.SoftPOS solution from EMI Global Corp.
"In Russia already more than 90% of transactions are made using contactless payment means. The whole industry benefits from the introduction of the Visa Tap to Phone solution. This technology expands the possibilities of accepting electronic payments in the trade and service network and makes cashless payments more available to clients, merchants and banks," said Mikhail Berner, CEO of Visa in Russia.
"The relevance of this solution is especially high in today's situation, when the demand for daily delivery of goods is actively growing, and this solution allows us to conveniently accept cashless payments by couriers and agents," said Inna Emelyanova, head of the Acquiring department of Russian Standard Bank.
Note, that Russian Standard Bank and EMI Global Corp have recently introduced a new method of accepting payments using SoftPOS technology.
